LA County Weekend: San Pedro and Marina del Rey, Nov 6

The LA coast is on a slow roll this weekend, so we're keeping it simple: three picks that are easy, mostly free and all by the water. Spend Saturday morning on the sand at Cabrillo Beach, catch the tide pools at Point Fermin, watch the sun go down from a tall ship in the LA Harbor, or just stroll the Marina del Rey farmers' market.

Tidepool Walk to Point Fermin

A naturalist-led walk to the Point Fermin tidepools. A good follow-up to the morning cleanup.

On the Water

LA Maritime Institute November Sunset Sail (our pick)

When: Sat Nov 7, 3–5:30 PM

A tall-ship sunset on LA Harbor, with the option to help crew. Bring your own snacks and drinks (no glass except bottles). Tickets can go fast, so check availability on the ticket link.

Marina del Rey

Marina del Rey Farmers' Market

When: Every Saturday, 9 AM–2 PM
Where: Parking Lot 11, 14101 Panay Way, Marina del Rey
Cost: Free admission; parking in Lot 11 is $0.50 per 15 minutes ($2 minimum with a card)
